1. Scope and Acceptance
These License Terms (“License”) govern your use of any digital publication purchased from Perfected Stone Press, a sole proprietorship operated by Mike Lenval, located in San Diego, California (“Perfected Stone Press,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including without limitation The Grand Architect, Volume I: How Wealth Is Actually Structuredand any subsequent volumes, supplements, or related materials in any digital format (each, a “Publication”).
By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using any Publication, you (“you,” “buyer,” or “reader”) acknowledge that you have read this License, the Terms of Use, the Disclaimer, and the Privacy Policy, and agree to be bound by all of them. If you do not agree to this License, you must not download, access, or use the Publication, and you are not granted any rights in it.
This License is incorporated into our Terms of Use and supplements them with respect to Publications. In the event of conflict between this License and the Terms of Use as applied to a specific Publication, this License controls.
2. Grant of License
Subject to your continuing compliance with this License, Perfected Stone Press grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, revocable license to:
- Download one (1) copy of the Publication for which you have paid to a device or storage medium under your control;
- Read the Publication for your personal, non-commercial use;
- Make a reasonable number of personal backup copies for your own use, provided that all copies retain all copyright, trademark, and proprietary notices.
This License is a license, not a sale. Perfected Stone Press retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Publication, including all intellectual property rights. No ownership of the Publication transfers to you.
3. Restrictions
Except as expressly permitted in Section 2, you must not, and must not permit any third party to:
- Redistribute the Publication, in whole or in part, by any means, including without limitation file sharing, cloud storage links shared with others, peer-to-peer networks, email forwarding, messaging platforms, social media, or physical media;
- Republish the Publication or any substantial portion of it on any website, platform, blog, newsletter, or other public-facing medium;
- Sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or commercially exploit the Publication or any portion of it;
- Reproduce the Publication beyond the personal backup copies expressly permitted in Section 2;
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Publication, except for personal annotations and notes that remain on your own copy and are not distributed;
- Publicly display, perform, or read aloud the Publication in any substantial part, including in recorded, streamed, broadcast, classroom, seminar, or commercial settings, except for brief quotations permitted by applicable copyright law and accompanied by appropriate attribution;
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice, trademark, watermark, identifier, or other proprietary notice contained in the Publication;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any digital protection mechanism, watermarking system, or rights management feature applied to the Publication;
- Use the Publicationin any manner that violates applicable law, infringes any third party’s rights, or breaches these License Terms or our Terms of Use.
Brief quotations embedded in critical reviews or other noncommercial uses permitted by copyright law (including fair use under 17 U.S.C. §107) are not prohibited, provided that they are accompanied by appropriate attribution to The Grand Architect, Volume I and Perfected Stone Press.
4. AI/ML Training Prohibition
Use of the Publication to train, fine-tune, develop, evaluate, validate, test, or otherwise inform any machine learning model, large language model, generative artificial intelligence system, foundation model, neural network, or related artificial intelligence technology is prohibited, as set forth in detail in Section 5 of the Terms of Use, which is incorporated into this License by reference and applies to your use of the Publication with full force.
This prohibition is a contractual restriction separate from copyright law and applies as a condition of your license to access and use the Publication. Violation constitutes a material breach of this License and the Terms of Use, entitling Perfected Stone Press to all available legal and equitable remedies, including injunctive relief.
5. Watermarking and Identifiers
The Publication may contain visible or invisible identifiers — including but not limited to embedded metadata, file-level fingerprints, content-level steganographic markers, or buyer-specific watermarks — that may link a particular copy of the Publication to the original purchaser, purchase transaction, download event, or distribution channel.
By purchasing the Publication, you acknowledge that:
- Such identifiers may exist;
- Distribution of the Publication beyond the licensed user may be traceable to you as the original purchaser or to the transaction through which the copy was obtained;
- You are responsible for safeguarding the Publication against unauthorized access or distribution;
- Perfected Stone Press may use such identifiers to investigate suspected unauthorized distribution and to enforce this License.
6. One Buyer, One License
Each purchase grants a license to one (1) individual buyer. The license is personal to you and may not be transferred, assigned, gifted, or shared with any other person.
If multiple individuals wish to read the Publication, each must purchase a separate license. Sharing the Publication file with one or more additional persons constitutes unauthorized distribution and breach of this License.
Family, household, employer, or organizational use does not extend the license beyond the individual buyer. Bulk and institutional licensing inquiries may be directed to legal@perfectedstone.com.
7. Updates and Errata
Perfected Stone Press may, at its discretion, issue corrections, errata, revised editions, or other updates to the Publication. Where an active mailing list exists and where the buyer’s email address is on file, we may notify buyers of significant updates by email. Provision of updates is not guaranteed and forms no part of the consideration for the original purchase.
A revised edition of a Publication is a separate Publication for purposes of this License. Purchase of an original edition does not entitle the buyer to free access to a revised edition unless expressly stated.
8. Refund Policy
All sales are final. Because this is a digital product delivered electronically, we do not offer buyer-initiated refunds, returns, or exchanges, except where required by law or where Perfected Stone Press determines in its sole discretion that a refund is appropriate for duplicate purchases, technical delivery issues, or chargeback resolution.
This refund policy is consistent with the policy posted on perfectedstone.com, on the Gumroad checkout page prior to purchase, and in our Terms of Use Section 9.2.
9. Termination
This License is effective until terminated. Your rights under this License will terminate automatically and without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of this License or the Terms of Use.
Upon termination, you must:
- Immediately cease all access to and use of the Publication;
- Delete or destroy all copies of the Publication in your possession or control, including backup copies;
- Confirm such deletion in writing if requested by Perfected Stone Press.
Termination does not entitle you to any refund. Termination does not waive any of Perfected Stone Press’s rights or remedies for the breach that caused termination, including without limitation the right to seek damages, injunctive relief, and recovery of attorneys’ fees and costs where permitted by applicable law or contract.
The following provisions survive termination: Section 3 (Restrictions), Section 4 (AI/ML Training Prohibition), Section 5 (Watermarking and Identifiers), Section 8 (Refund Policy as applied to completed purchases), this Section 9 (Termination), Section 10 (Disclaimers and Limitations), Section 11 (Governing Law and Disputes), and Section 12 (General).
10. Disclaimers and Limitations
The Publication is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind. Your use of the Publication is subject to the disclaimers and limitations of liability set forth in our Disclaimer, which is incorporated into this License by reference.
In particular, you acknowledge that the Publication is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, tax, or investment advice; that past performance and historical examples do not guarantee or indicate future results; and that the total cumulative liability of Perfected Stone Press is limited as described in Section 6 of the Disclaimer.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
This License is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this License, the Publication, or your use thereof is subject to the dispute resolution provisions of our Terms of Use Section 11, including without limitation binding individual arbitration, class action waiver, small claims court carve-out, and 30-day arbitration opt-out window, all incorporated into this License by reference.
Arbitration opt-out notices must be sent to arbitration-optout@perfectedstone.com as described in Section 11.6 of the Terms of Use.
12. General
12.1 Entire Agreement
This License, together with the Terms of Use, Disclaimer, and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Perfected Stone Press concerning the Publication and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements on the subject matter hereof.
12.2 Severability
If any provision of this License is held unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to render it enforceable, or, if no such modification is possible, severed from this License, with the remainder continuing in full force and effect.
12.3 No Waiver
The failure of Perfected Stone Press to assert any right under this License does not constitute a waiver of that right.
12.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer this License or any rights or obligations hereunder. Perfected Stone Press may assign this License without your consent.
12.5 Modifications
Perfected Stone Press may modify this License for future purchases by posting an updated version at perfectedstone.com/license. Modifications do not retroactively alter the terms of any Publication already purchased; the License in effect at the time of your purchase governs your use of that copy.
